Ethical code for UG community

 Another assignment post, this time in Indonesian.

UG Community merupakan situs forum komunitas sosial yang menampung mahasiswa, dosen dan staff Universitas Gunadarma yang menyerupai  komunitas Friendster, Google Orkut, Facebook, AkuCintaSekolah, dll, yang dimiliki oleh Universitas Gunadarma.

Pada situs ini, mahasiswa dan dosen, masing-masing dapat memanfaatkan fitur chat, forum, UG tube, edit profil dan fitur-fitur lainnya.

Tujuan dari situs UG Community adalah sebagai sarana komunikasi dan berbagi informasi antara civitas akademika baik itu mahasiswa, dosen dan juga alumni Universitas Gunadarma.

Untuk menjadi anggota UG Community, silahkan mendaftar dengan cara :

  • Klik CREATE YOUR ACCOUNT
  • Mengisi formulir yang telah disediakan
  • Kemudian setelah formulir terisi, kliklah SUBMIT THE FORM
  • Silahkan login dan periksa email Anda untuk memverifikasi account Anda. Jika menggunakan Yahoo! mail Anda periksa map Surat Massal.

Untuk masuk UG Community, silahkan login dengan cara :

  • Ketik Email Address dan password pada saat sign up

Administrator UG Community adalah BAPSI Universitas Gunadarma, yang berkewajiban Mengkoordinir dan mengelola segala peraturan, kebijakan, pengembangan dan pelayanan UG Community, dengan tujuan pengelolaan keamanan dan peningkatan pelayanan serta menjaga dari keseimbangan sosial.

BAPSI Universitas Gunadarma berkewajiban :

  • Bertanggung jawab dalam pengelolaan UG community.
  • Mengelola sistem dan menjaga rahasia user dengan baik.
  • Mengkoordinir dan mengelola segala peraturan, kebijakan, pengembangan dan pelayanan UG Community, dengan tujuan pengelolaan keamanan dan peningkatan pelayanan serta menjaga dari keseimbanagn sosial.
  • Menyediakan prasarana yang dibutuhkan agar proses pengaksesan dan penggunaan UG community dapat berjalan lancar.

BAPSI Universitas Gunadarma berhak :

  • Melakukan evaluasi terhadap aktifitas penggunaan layanan.
  • Mencatat, memberikan sanksi, serta menindak setiap pelanggaran yang dilakukan oleh user, disesuaikan dengan bukti terkait.
  • Memonitor dan mencatat segala aktifitas penggunaan UG Community dengan tujuan pengelolaan keamanan dan peningkatan pelayanan serta keseimbangan sosial.
  • Membuat peraturan-peraturan yang bertujuan untuk melindungi dan meningkatkan pelayanan kepada user.
  • Menghapus konten-konten UG Community yang melanggar peraturan yang berlaku.

Setiap pengguna UG Community berkewajiban :

  • Menjaga kerahasiaan data-data pribadinya (contoh: login, password, file-file, dokumen, dll)
  • Melaporkan segala bentuk kecurangan dan pelanggaran dalam penggunaan UG Community ini, kepada administrator UG Community.
  • Menjaga nama baik Universitas Gunadarma.
  • Mengikuti peraturan yang di buat oleh UG Community.

Setiap pengguna UG Community berhak :

  • Memakai fasilitas dan fitur yang dimiliki UG Community, dan membagi informasi antar sesama pengguna UG Community.

Seiring dengan perkembangannya, berbagai macam hal harus disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan user, privacy, aspek legal, dan lain sebagainya. Oleh karena itu, Universitas Gunadarma berusaha membuat aturan untuk hal-hal umum dan khusus sehingga dapat memberikan kenyamanan bagi segenap Civitas Akademika UG.

Hal-hal yang dilarang dalam UG Community :

  • Membagi sesi akses UG Community kepada orang lain.
  • Merusak sistem infrastruktur UG Community.
  • Merusak nama baik Universitas Gunadarma.
  • Membuat Konten-konten
  1. Berisi virus
  2. Gambar-gambar asusila
  3. Menyinggung SARA
  4. Mempublikasikan konten-konten bajakan / illegal
  5. Mempublikasikan informasi berisi instruksi untuk melakukan perbuatan melawan hukum (illegal) positif di Indonesia dan ketentuan internasional umumnya.
  6. SPAM pada BLOG, FORUM dan fasilitas lainnya
  7. Melakukan/menulis negatif yang MEMPROVOKASI UG’ers lainnya
  8. Melakukan/menulis sikap yang BERMUSUHAN dengan UG’ers lain
  9. dan lain sebagainya.
  • Melakukan hacking, cracking, sniffing terhadap data-data orang lain.
  • Melakukan pemalsuan dan penggunaan ilegal dari username orang lain yang belum maupun sudah terdaftar.

Untuk mencegah hal-hal yang tidak di inginkan, setiap pengguna sangat disarankan :

  • Melakukan logout apabila telah selesai menggunakan UG Community.
  • Tidak menyimpan username dan password pada browser.
  • Melakukan penyebaran informasi yang baik, membagi pengalaman sebagai bentuk kepedulian terhadap komunitas.
  • Menghormati etika dan segala macam peraturan yang berlaku di masyarakat internet umumnya dan bertanggung jawab sepenuhnya terhadap segala muatan / isi situsnya.

Jika pengguna secara sengaja melakukan pelanggaran-pelanggaran terhadap peraturan, kebijakan, hak, dan kewajiban yang diberikan UG Community, maka peringatan dan Sanksi untuk setiap pengguna :

  • Penonaktifkan account.
  • Penghapusan account.
  • Sanksi norma.
  • Pelaporan kepada pihak yang berwajib dalam hal ini adalah Unit Cyber Crime Badan Reserse dan Kriminal (Bareskrim) Mabes Polri.

Monte Carlo Simulation method

I bought a new phone! - LG KM380T Review

So, my Nokia 5070 refuses most of my attempts to charge it. This, as you might have guessed, pissed me off. So I went to do a research for a decent new phone. After reading specifications and comparing prices, I went and bought an LG KM380t. (those guys making the flash-infested-site-that-does-not-even-list-this-phone should be strangled)

I don’t have any decent camera, so I used a Sony Ericsson Z710i. Sue me.

Anyway, here’s some more pictures of me (my hands, actually) holding the phone, for size comparison:

This phone comes in "Dark Brown, Orange Point" colour that doesn’t make any sense to me. The colour only shown on music control keys and inner keypad

If you haven’t guessed yet, It’s a semi-flip phone, much like the old Sony Ericsson T10 or T28. And, like them, It’s rather slim.

Now, I’ve been tinkering around with his phone and am rather satisfied with it.

First, the part which makes me want to buy the phone, the music player.

The sound quality from the built-in speaker is surprisingly good. No bass, of course, but you can’t expect to get good bass from integrated speaker. The treble and mid sounds comes out nicely, and the volume is loud enough for most purposes.

But the sound quality with the bundled earphone is, I should say, freakin’ good. I tried plugging my Sennheiser HD212 to it, and the little canalphone gave it a run for its money. The sound is clear, and… well… I should just say really good, minus the somewhat unpronounced bass. but that’s it for the sound weakness. And, If it means anything, this phone has "natural sound" enhancement by Mark Levinson. It is also written on the side of the box.

The music player itself can use some improvements. Whenever I shuffle, It seems to be giving me the same ‘random’ order. And if I juggle through the menu or the music player itself while playing anything, I notice some slowdown. It seems that this phone doesn’t have enough juice to multitask.

And the side buttons that controls volume, opens music player, and keylock, is rather hard to press with my bulky fingers.

Next, Internet connectivity.

This phone doesn’t support 3g. But the specification lists this phone as EDGE - capable, so it is fast enough for me. And, sure enough, It blasted through the web using opera mini. It is not as responsive as 3g phones, but again, if I need quick Internet connection, I’ll get it on my PC.

I tried connecting it to my PC as a modem, but It can’t complete any speed test or download, but I presume it is because of my crappy provider (IM3 GPRS) and because I’m trying it on hot traffic time, Sunday morning. For general purpose, though, I’d bet this phone is more than fast enough.

Now that we’ve touched PC connectivity, Let’s talk about it. It is a product of designer programming, a program that does nothing much but tries hard to look cool while doing it, resulting in sloppy performance. While trying to transfer music files to it, I ended up just using the phone’s "Mass Storage" USB connectivity mode, then synchronizing music files with Media Monkey. Because, as you might have guessed, the bundled music-sync software sucks.

The camera, just like that Z710i pictures above, sucks. But what would you expect from a music phone?

 

You agree? Good. But it is decent enough for me to take review photos for this blog. Expect ugliness to come soon.

I think the rest of the phone is pretty standard, so I’m not gonna write about them, maybe besides the "Mini Game World" that is rather fun to play.

Overall, I really like this phone, It sucks right at the feature I don’t need, so I like the rest. Well worth the money.

Life behind the RV770

I finished reading this article at anandtech a few moments ago. And it got me thinking a bit.

I didn’t actually think about the people working to make a GPU before reading it. The only thing in my mind is whether the final products are good or not.

It brings the humane side of computer hardware. A must-read article.
